I am May. Indonesian, born and raised in Bandung, and I have spent 22 years there before I started a new phase of life as an independent young woman.
I was living in Jakarta twice, almost a year from July 2003 – May 2004 and almost 7 years from February 2007 – December 2013. In between I was in Balikpapan and now I live in Kuala Lumpur.
I love reading books, to travel and to cook. I also love to write, my dream since junior high school was to become a Journalist and was almost there. Back in 2004 I was accepted as a Journalist for one of major newspaper in Indonesia, and at the same time as a Geologist for one of multinational oil company with a prospect to continue my study overseas. My late mother told me the 2nd one is a better option, hence I followed her suggestion.
Another new blog ?
I started blogging in 2004 and it was fun on Blogdrive, and then Blogspot came to my life. However it was then replaced by Multiply, only for a few years though and then I back to Blogspot and finally on WordPress since 2013. Yeah I had and have so many blogs but it has been an on-off hiatus period. Hope this new one will be my last and the most productive.
I decided to write here for my daughter, documenting my stories, my journey also my thoughts.
Also, a gift for myself. I write to give myself strength.
